Dr. Hisham Sharif

Dr. Hisham Sharif is a full-time student of knowledge at Al-Azhar University, in the department of Arabic and Islamic Studies. He is also complementing his academic studies with traditional knowledge in Quran, Aqidah and Shafi’i Fiqh. In addition, he is a Quran teacher at Morrisville Islamic Center in North Carolina and holds 2 ijazat from Al-Azhar University through one of the highest chains of transmission (Sanad) in the world.

Dr. Hisham was one of the chief editors on the Clear Quran, where he reviewed and edited the translation multiple times with Dr. Mustafa Khattab. Professionally, he holds a PhD in Neuroscience and worked as an academic neuroscientist for many years before transitioning into the corporate sector.
